Ethiopian Clean Energy Innovation on Display at Ayrton Forum 2026
Ethiopian clean energy innovation was on display at Ayrton Forum 2026 as Inter Ethiopia Solution PLC shared its work on second-life batteries, e-waste management, and productive use energy solutions for Ethiopia.
We shared our experience with second-life batteries, e-waste management, and productive use energy solutions for Ethiopia.
The forum brought together clean energy leaders, investors, innovators, development partners, and policymakers. Together, they explored practical ways to accelerate climate and energy solutions.
For Inter Ethiopia, the event was more than an exhibition. It was also a valuable learning experience. Most importantly, it helped us understand how local solutions can support Ethiopia’s clean energy transition.
Ethiopian Clean Energy Innovation at Ayrton Forum 2026
Ayrton Forum 2026 gave Inter Ethiopia a strong platform to present our work.
At our stand, we showed how second-life battery systems can support rural businesses. We also explained how battery reuse can reduce waste and improve access to reliable power.
Many visitors showed interest in Ethiopia’s clean energy potential. As a result, we had useful discussions with partners working in energy access, climate innovation, circular economy, and private sector development.
These conversations helped us see where our work fits into the wider clean energy transition.
Second-Life Batteries for Productive Use Energy
Our display focused on second-life batteries for productive use energy.
We presented our battery system concept, inverter setup, solar panel connection, BMS components, and technical materials. In addition, we showed how used batteries can go through testing, grading, repair, and safe reuse.
This approach helps extend the life of solar energy products. It also reduces electronic waste and lowers the cost of clean energy systems.
For rural businesses, this can make a real difference. Reliable power can help entrepreneurs run equipment, store products, provide services, and increase income.
E-Waste Management and Circular Clean Energy
E-waste management was another important part of our message.
In Ethiopia, many solar products and lithium batteries reach the end of their first use too early. However, many of these products still have value.
With proper testing and repair, batteries can serve new energy applications. Instead of becoming waste, they can support productive use energy systems.
This is the foundation of our circular clean energy work.
By giving batteries and solar products a second life, we can reduce waste. At the same time, we can support small businesses that need affordable and reliable energy.
What We Learned About Scaling Clean Energy Solutions
Ayrton Forum 2026 helped us understand what partners and investors want to see.
First, clean energy solutions must show clear impact. They need to reduce waste, lower emissions, create jobs, and support real customers.
Second, strong partnerships matter. Second-life battery systems need support from technology providers, recyclers, regulators, financiers, and local communities.
Third, practical communication is important. Many people want to understand circular energy. However, they need clear systems, safe processes, and measurable results.
These lessons gave us useful feedback. They also helped us improve how we present our model in Ethiopia.
Productive Use Energy for Rural Businesses
Productive use energy remains a major focus for Inter Ethiopia.
Reliable power helps small businesses operate more efficiently. It can support tailoring, retail, agriculture, cold storage, and other income-generating activities.
Therefore, our systems must be practical, repairable, and suitable for local conditions.
Our second-life battery approach supports this goal. It makes better use of existing materials and helps reduce clean energy costs.
Next Steps After Ayrton Forum 2026
After Ayrton Forum 2026, Inter Ethiopia is even more committed to scaling circular clean energy solutions in Ethiopia.
We will continue improving our second-life battery systems. We will also strengthen our e-waste management work and build partnerships that support productive use energy.
This work also connects with our wider commitment to e-waste management and circular clean energy in Ethiopia.
Participating in the forum was an important step for Inter Ethiopia. It allowed us to represent Ethiopian clean energy innovation on an international platform.
We are grateful to Ayrton Forum and The Carbon Trust for creating this opportunity.
Inter Ethiopia remains committed to second-life batteries, e-waste management, and productive use energy solutions that support Ethiopia’s green economy.
