Showcasing Circular Economy Innovations at the Africa Climate Summit 2

Championing Circular Economy and Sustainable Energy Solutions

Inter Ethiopia Solution PLC proudly participated in the Africa Climate Summit 2 Exhibition, a landmark event uniting African innovators, policymakers, and industry leaders to advance climate resilience, renewable energy innovation, and sustainable development across Africa.

During the summit, Inter Ethiopia showcased its pioneering work in solar system refurbishment, lithium-ion battery repurposing, and e-waste management — key pillars of the company’s commitment to building a circular economy in Ethiopia and promoting clean energy access across the continent.

“The Africa Climate Summit 2 has been an inspiring space for collaboration and innovation,” said Zelalem Nigatu, COE of Inter Ethiopia Solution PLC. “We are deeply motivated by the shared vision for a greener Africa and the growing recognition that circular energy solutions are essential for sustainable growth.”

Driving Impact Through Circular Innovation

Inter Ethiopia’s approach focuses on extending the lifespan of renewable energy systems by collecting, refurbishing, and repurposing used lithium-ion batteries into affordable, safe, and efficient solar power storage solutions.
This not only reduces electronic waste but also supports energy inclusion, especially in rural communities where access to electricity remains limited.

“Our participation in Africa Climate Summit 2 reaffirms our belief that innovation and sustainability must go hand in hand,” added Aron Nebiyu, Operations Manager at Inter Ethiopia. “By applying circular economy principles, we’re transforming waste into opportunity and powering communities sustainably.”

Collaboration for a Greener Future

The company expressed gratitude to the organizers, partners, and all attendees who visited the Inter Ethiopia booth to engage in discussions on renewable energy technologies and e-waste recycling. Their insights and encouragement continue to inspire the team to scale its impact.

Inter Ethiopia also acknowledges the support of Powering Renewable Energy Opportunities (PREO), GET.invest, and the Environmental Protection Authority (FDRE) for their continued partnership in advancing sustainable energy initiatives across Ethiopia.

As the summit concluded, the message was clear: Africa’s climate future depends on bold, practical, and collaborative action. Inter Ethiopia remains committed to turning the insights and partnerships from the Africa Climate Summit 2 into real-world impact — building a sustainable and circular energy ecosystem for Ethiopia and the continent at large.
